Chris Kerr received his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and currently lives and works in Chicago. Working “out of his element” as Kerr would say, with materials and subject matter, Kerr approaches each new work with a loose concept in mind and allows random occurrences to happen. Kerr’s use of low craft or muddled techniques leads the viewer to a greater understanding of the disparate subject matter.
