Nelson Kahikina, now living and working in Chicago, is originally from central Indiana where is received his BFA in painting. Many of Kahikina’s works are collages or drawings and have an immediate sense to them. A collage of hand written notes, printed text, and blank pages, a conglomeration of incomplete and expired information often inspires the subsequent drawing, and or painting that is layered over it.
